Thursday Throwback Video: Ashanti - "Baby"

Veteran singer Ashanti, who recently announced an upcoming summer tour with former Murder Inc. labelmate Ja Rule, reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number seven on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart with the 2002 track "Baby", the third and final single from her debut album Ashanti. Produced by Irv Gotti and 7 Aurelius, "Baby" became Ashanti's third solo single to reach the top ten on the Hot 100 and is her fifth top ten entry on the Hot R&B Songs chart. A sultry video featuring actress Nia Long was later released for the song.
