Written and produced by Earth, Wind & Fire members Maurice White and Al McKay in 1977, "Best of My Love" became a huge hit for Chicago band The Emotions (which consisted of sisters; Wanda Hutchinson, Sheila Hutchinson and Jeanette Hutchinson), winning a Grammy for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal and also winning an American Music Award for Favorite Soul/R&B Single.
