Friday Night Throwback: B.T. Express - "Do It ('Til You're Satisfied)"
Conceived during an era where funk music was at an all-time high, B.T. Express (Brooklyn Transit Express)' "Do It ('Til You're Satisfied)" single, with its soul clap ethos and infectious rhythms, would become the first of several hits for the native New Yorkers. Written by group member Billy Nichols and released on the debut album of the same name, the song had two versions, one 3 minutes long and the other 5, It would peak at #1 on the R&B singles chart for a week during the fall of 1974 and was rated #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for two weeks.
