Produced and written by Leon Sylvers, Stephen Shockley and William Shelby, "And The Beat Goes On" was also The Whispers first and biggest hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and peaking at number 27 on the Canadian RPM chart.
