Friday Night Throwback: The Four Tops - "When She Was My Girl"

One of the originators to cement the early Motown sound, in a span of over 40 years the quartet (lead singer Levi Stubbs, and groupmates Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson and Lawrence Payton) that made up The Four Tops, would become one of the world's most popular and long-lived vocal groups. Indeed, between 1964 and 1988, The Four Tops made Billboard’s Hot 100 chart 45 times and its R&B chart 52 times with classics that included "Baby I Need Your Loving", “I Can’t Help Myself", “It’s the Same Old Song", “Reach Out I’ll Be There", “Standing in the Shadows of Love” and “Bernadette.” Here they perform their last Billboard Hot 100 Top 20 hit, "When She Was My Girl" from their 1981 album Tonight!
