Thursday Throwback: New Edition - "Hit Me Off"
The first release off the New Edition's sixth studio album, Home Again, the 1996 single "Hit Me Off", marked the group's first single in seven years. Produced by Silky and ironically featuring a sample of Bell Biv DeVoe's hit single "Do Me!", "Hit Me Off" featured lead vocals for all six New Edition members, debuted at number three on the pop chart and topped the R&B singles chart for three weeks.
