Throwback Thursday Video: The Persuaders - "Thin Line Between Love and Hate"
Watching Martin Lawrence's A Thin Line Between Love and Hate flick the other day for the umpteenth time inspired this week's Throwback Thursday. A New York City-based group that originally started with members Douglas "Smokey" Scott, Willie Holland, James Barnes, and Charles Stodghill, The Persuaders scored their biggest hit with the Robert and Richard Poindexter and Jackie Members co-written and produced "Thin Line Between Love and Hate". The classic 1971 song spent two weeks atop the Billboard R&B chart, reached #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was a certified Gold Record by the RIAA.
